Hello all,

This thread is about current recruitment for CGSF as well as how the current ranking system works.

With the new ranking system, we are planning to make it easier to be accepted into the CGSF force. There will be two main ways of becoming CGSF.
  1. Application. Apply on the forums. If accepted, you enter the force as a Private 2nd Class. Our main focus will be strong activity in-game and on TS3, and a moderate aptitude for roleplay and raiding.
  2. Trainee Program. Active and promising members of the PD force may be given a short trial by a Captain+. They will be brought on as a Trainee Private, and after a few days will either be allowed to enter the force as a Private 2nd Class or told to apply for CGSF as normal.

Our standards for Private 2nd Class will be lower than what they previously were for Operative, although we still will expect you to show that you are very active and show some potential. Promotion will require you to show high levels of skill.

A Private 2nd Class who has completed a number of weeks in service and shows potential for progression in the force will be promoted to Private 1st Class. This is an internal rank and the job used in-game remains the same.

A Private 1st Class who has been in the force for a reasonable amount of time and shows high aptitude for roleplay and good skill in raids can then be promoted to Specialist.
Specialists gain access to the Barret M82 sniper rifle, but have reduced hp & armor and no arrest baton. They are a specialised troop, and are expected to patrol and raid with other CGSF or Police Officers, playing as a Private when this is not possible.

After a decent length of service in the force, with strong raiding tactics and roleplay, and showing good potential for leadership, Specialists may be promoted to Corporal.
This is an NCO (non-commissioned officer) rank. At this rank, orders given by the CGSF member to lower ranks become binding in RP and must be followed, else they can be disciplined by a Captain+.
Corporals are expected to patrol and raid with small squads, and help in CGSF drills. They are expected to offer basic leadership in RP to the lower ranks.

The very best Corporals can then be promoted to Sergeant. This is a difficult rank to obtain. Sergeants work closely with Captains and Commanders and are expected to take leading rolls in drills, and offer strong leadership to all ranks below them.

I hope this explains the ranking system. There is a lot of room for promotion and we hope that it will encourage people to work hard as well as create lots of opportunities for RP!

Kind regards,
Cloak
