What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
- Member, As I would like to try out some new roleplay and help others have a good time, I've been putting in some time on ECA and I just want to give it a good try, and generally just have a good time with everyone.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
-I have been around for a long time and will continue to be around for even longer, My activity is very high and I can be very mature when the time calls for it. I always do my best to improve on any criticisms made about me and I do my best to learn whats needed to be learned for the roles I am placed in.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
- They are responsible for making sure that the foundation does not practice any unneccessary cruelties, And that all actions it does serve the common good, Making sure research is conducted in an ethical manner as to prevent unnecessary loss of life beyond what is needed, Looking over dangerous research proposals to make sure they are reasonable and thus ethical to run tests on and ensuring that all personnel follow strict Codes of ethics, Making sure that personnel are dealt with appropriately, fairly, and most importantly, Humanely.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
- They handle applications for more Supportive non-combative roles, Like Director Of Medicine, and Director of Internal Affairs, Which is also handled alongside the O5 Council. and obviously they handle applications for Ethics Assistants.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Miguel Rivera was born on February 25, ####, In the island of Puerto Rico, He grew up in a rather average home in the city of Arecibo, He was a rather introverted child, Growing up, He was fond of urban myths, Studying them in his spare time as he would go through his school days, A social outcast as he just couldnt understand people very well, Not seeing the reason for many of the things they did, He would eventually graduate with a Degree in Office Administration and then go on to continue his studies in Networking, Before being approached by "The Foundation" for a position as an Ethics Committee Assistant, And this where he truly found something he could truly understand, He would work day in and day out as he would slowly begin to understand people more, Working on his social weaknesses, Eventually, He was noticed by the Committee and offered a position as a member.
Storyline: The Murder of Chad Thunderpants: A tribunal would be held over the unethical killing of the D-Class Chad Thunderpants, A well known D-Class who's never done anything wrong, Captain Joe Sama stands accused of the killing, Having been apparently seen gunning down the D-Class with no warnings, This trial would go on with expert defense lawyering from the Captains side and an even fiercer prosecution from the Ethics side. Culminating in the Captain being found Guilty before he is escorted away, Stripped of his position and tossed in some hole for a long time.
